le jardin vacillant ss20
inspiration captured from impressionism, the contemporary art movement that was ruled by color, sensations and freedom. the undoubtedly leader of this movement was Claude Monet; helped shaped a new way of conceiving art and the environment surrounding it, believed that the picture you portray is not interpreted by detail, but by its whole scenario. one of the most important things that Monet helped introduce to contemporary art, was the understanding of how different points of views, different ways of creating a picture, are all valid as long as you find the meaning inside of you.
the pictures he painted of this garden vary in spite of the lighting, the hour of the day, the season, the circumstances… each and every single one of this paintings are unique, meanwhile, the garden was always the same. the concept of this collection, is to use the same techniques that Monet took advantage of, creating our changing garden. pastel colors achieved by artisanal dyeing techniques, nature inspired shapes, reminiscing of the water lilies that Monet deeply adored and sheer textures, that reminds us that our past, present and future are never crystal clear, but we can always peek through it.
